On the afternoon of January 9th, 2021, Katherine S. Fisher of Brandywine MD being two months shy of her 98th birthday, passed away peacefully to be united with her Lord Jesus Christ, her husband Orville, and her family that preceded her.

Katherine was born on March 22, 1923 in Nashville TN to the late Roy and Basmath Snyder. She had aย  brother, Roy Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy and Grace, that preceded her. Nashville was her home and she graduated from Litton High School.

Katherine met Orville, an Army Air Forces Sgt., at a church social in Nashville, TN during WW II. They were married for 62 years before his passing in September 2005. She is survived by their four children, Terry(Donna), Phillip(Carol), Richard(Janice), and Lynda(Royal). Surviving her also are her 10 Grand Children, and 8 Great Grand Children.

Family, faith, and home were some of the hallmarks of Katherines’ life. Thanksgiving was a special time she loved when family members gathered at her home to celebrate the holiday. At the table, she always gave thanks for her family and the blessings they were to her.

Katherine was an active member at the Brandywine Bible Church. As a young girl, she taught herself to play the piano at a friends house, andย  played piano for the church services. It was a great joy to her. At the church Fellowship Dinners, her cakes were crowd favorites and highly sought after, especially her Black Walnut Cake and Blackberry Jam Cake.

She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh with family and friends.

Katherine lived a full life and surrounded herself with the people she loved most, her family and church. She was loved and will be missed.
