Kirk Thompson Williams, 53, of Clements, MD, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Ocala, FL.
Born on February 28, 1961, in Big Flats, NY, he is the son of the late John Hay Williams and Phyllis Dow Williams of The Villages, FL.
Kirk owned and operated Body by Design and Drive Line for over thirty years in California, MD. He was an artist who saw the world in a beautiful and unique way. Kirk enjoyed flying planes and owned four planes in the past. He was a skilled drummer and played in the bands, “The Islanders” and “Nine Day Bender.” He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes, especially with his children. Kirk’s children were his pride and joy, and he liked to spend as much time as he could with them. Together they also enjoyed boating, especially waterskiing. His favorite pastime at the end of the day was to enjoy a tall glass of milk with some Chesapeake Chunk cookies.
In addition to his mother, Kirk is survived by his children, Heather Marie Williams of Brooklyn, NY, Gregory Thomas Williams of Leonardtown, MD, Nicholas Ryan Williams of Leonardtown, MD and Jennifer Brooke Williams of Leonardtown, MD; and his brother, John Gregory Williams (Lizbeth) of Los Angeles, CA. He is preceded in death by his father.
Family will receive friends for Kirk’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with remembrances at 7:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be private.
