After an enduring battle with cancer,Lawrence E. Taylor , age 71 of Mechanicsville, Md. peacefully passed away on August 8,2014 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Larry is survived by his wife, of 20 years Janet taylor: step-daughters Candy Cain (Bill) & Kristen Roy (Alex); grandsons,Jeffery and Brenden Cain; sister,Shirley Reeves, brother,Jerry Taylor as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Grace Taylor and his sister Joan Aud. Larry was born in St. Mary’s County, MD in October 1942. He grew up in St.Inigoes,MD with a loving family.
Larry served his country in the US Army 101st Airborne Divisionfrom 1964-1966.
After his service,he remained a hardworking,driven professional until his retirement in 2011. He always looked forward to warm weather.Warm weather meant time on his motorcycle with his wife,niece and nephew.Spending time with his family was a priority. He was a loving husband ,wonderful step-dad, devoted brother and fun loving uncle. Most of all ,he was a proud caring,loving Paw-Paw to his grandsons. Diagnosed with cancer in 2005, he remained dedicated to his work and his will to fight his illness.
He was a brave,iron willed man throughout his final months.Larry requested his body to be donated to medical education and research.
