Solomons, MD—Annemarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center is a gorgeous park located near scenic Solomons Island. Annemarie is host to several annual festivals, exhibits, activities, and public programs, but one event in particular is held near and dear to our hearts—Artsfest. Artsfest is a celebration of artistic ability across a broad spectrum of talents. The first commemoration of Artsfest began in 1993 to celebrate Ann Marie Koenig’s birthday—the woman whose name Annemarie Gardens is derived. Here we are 24 years later, and Artsfest is still going strong.
A weekend long festivity, Artsfest 2017 is hosting over 165 visual artists and 35 bands performing on three different stages. The artist booths have an eclectic mix of creations, varying from jewelry, paintings, glass, graphics, photography, sculptures, and more! Artsfest 2017 is Saturday Sept. 16 and Sunday Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Tickets are only $6 per person, but free for members and for children 11 years old and younger! You can even download a $1 off coupon on their website. There will be food vendors, artist demos, and the entire weekend is rain or shine.
