At every show Reggie Rice performs, the number one question is how did you learn magic? The SuperMagicMan jokingly replies, โHogwartsโ Not every Magician who goes to Washington. D.C. returns home from modern day Hogwarts, but last week the SuperMagicMan did just that.
He has won countless awards and has been teaching since 1987, conducting over a dozen class events each year, ranging from their popular master classes to extended classes, classes teaching magic to doctors, a yearly seminar on โMagic & Meaningโ and more. Former Students have won awards at every major convention in the US, and even at the International Championship known as F.I.S.M.
While in attendance, the Rice not only got to work with McBride but also got to work with Paul Green who was awarded Close Up Magician of the year in 2008 and Lecturer of the Year in 2002, as well as Bruce Kalver Society Of American Magicians president and Joan Ceasar who is currently the President of the IBM.
Rice has been doing magic for six years, when asked what he loves about magic the most, he simply replied โcreating laughter and memories that will last a life timeโ.
While attending the world magic seminar, Rice got a chance to work hand and hand with McBride and rest of Magi Whirlโs Gala show cast backstage learning the behind the scenes secrets and all the inner workings of one of the most sought after magic acts in the world.
This modern day Hogwarts has greatly increased Riceโs chances to remain the Districtโs reigning Comedy Magician of the Year, a title for which he plans to compete again this May for the third year in a row. This convention has made Rice realize that his career has come full circle and he is โone of the bright stars in the future of the realm of entertainmentโ says McBride.
