LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Dean Newman grew up in Northwest Florida on a small farm. He has traveled the globe, taking pictures of birds along the way and this past summer he helped the Garvey Senior Activity Center raise $8,148. Newman donated Snow Geese Landing, a photograph he took on the eastern shore, to the Garvey Center so that it may be raffled off. Newman, a graduate of the Naval School of Photography, is a self-proclaimed โ€œavid birderโ€ and utilizes photographs to share this love with others.
