On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Peter J. Messitte sentenced Quentin Leon Rice, 34, of Lusby, to 152 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine, announced U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein.
According to his guilty plea, from December 2004 through April 2005, Rice met with his co-conspirators at a residence in Clinton, and other locations to purchase, manufacture, convert, and store illegal drugs. On a number of occasions, Rice obtained powder cocaine which he would convert into crack cocaine for sale and distribution.
On Feb. 16, 2005, one of Rice’s co-conspirators met a confidential informant at the residence in Clinton and sold the confidential informant 93 grams of crack cocaine which Rice had converted from powder cocaine.
