Derrick Alan Boyd Sr.
Lexington Park, MD – On December 25, 2019, Cpl. Michael Worrey responded to the 46900 block of South Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park for the reported theft.
The victim advised that he sold three laptop computers to Derrick Alan Boyd Sr., 49 of Great Mills, when the victim noticed that the currency was fake by the texture of the paper.
The victim tried to stop Boyd, but drove off.
Boyd was then located by Cpl. Worrey where he was found with additional counterfeit currency.
Boyd was arrested, transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center and charged with Theft and Counterfeit.
