On Aug. 18, St. Mary’s Senior Deputy First Class Russell responded to a call for a domestic dispute.
Investigation revealed Francis Xavier Hill, 36 of California, began smoking crack cocaine in the presence of his girlfriend and the she attempted to stop him.
There was a struggle but neither party was injured.
Deputy Russell recovered $40 worth of crack cocaine and the Hill was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
