A victim reported to DFC John “Marty” McCarroll that her purse had been stolen from inside her unlocked vehicle on December 18 at 3:00 p.m.
The victim had been parked at the Twin Beach Library on Harbor Road in Chesapeake Beach. At 11:30 p.m. that same day, DFC Richard Cress made a traffic stop in Owings and discovered that the driver, identified as Christopher A. Gasch, 26 of Owings, was in possession of the victim’s property.
Gasch was charged with theft.
