Detectives identified a residence in Leonardtown as a distribution point for prescription medications. A search and seizure warrant was obtained and executed with the assistance of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team, Narcotics Support Team members and K-9 deputies.
Detectives recovered Xanax, marijuana, Suboxone, a drug ledger which documented distribution activity, more than $700.00 in cash, packaging material and cell phones.
Arrested on the scene was James Wesley Hughes Jr. aka “Big Man” (Age 26). Suspect Hughes was charged with the drug violations and additional charges and arrests are pending a review with State’s Attorney Richard D. Fritz.
