Leonardtown, MDโ€”On March 25, St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Deputy Jason Kerns responded to Washington Street in Leonardtown for a reported harassment.

When Kerns arrived on the scene, he spoke with the victim in the hallway of the apartment complex. Kerns asked the victim what was going on, and she stated, โ€œHe posted pictures of me on Facebook,โ€ according to charging documents.

Kerns asked the victim who posted the pictures she stated, โ€œWilliam Parks.โ€ Kerns asked the victim about her relationship with the defendant, and she advised he is her ex-boyfriend. The defendant was identified as William S. Parks, 24, Great Mills.

The victim advised, โ€œThat there were two pictures which were posted online were of her breasts which were fully exposed,โ€ according to charging documents. The photographs were taken during their (victim and Parks) relationship, and the victim had a reasonable expectation to believe the images were going to be kept private.

“The victim emailed me (Kerns) a total of eight screenshots depicting the two pictures which were posted on Facebook by Parks,” the deputy stated. “Other screen shots included the phone call logs and a message from the defendant stating, ‘Okay here goes the [expletive] pic,’ and other comments on other posts captured in the screen shots state from Parkโ€™s โ€˜shit hiding from the police she sending me back to prison I [Parks) am going to kill her before I go through,โ€ according to charging documents.

Parks was interviewed and admitted the pictures of the victim had been sent to him by the victim, however, he denied posting them on Facebook.

Parks was charged with placing intimate sexual images on the Internet, and telephone misuse for repeated calls. Parks at this time does not have a scheduled court appearance. Parks faces a maximum jail sentence of five years and/or a maximum fine of $5,500.
