Deputy Flerlage met with a victim on January 19 at Sheriff’s Office Headquarters. The victim alleged suspect Sylvester Leroy Parran, 25, of Lusby, shoved the victim into a shower door during an argument over their relationship while at a residence in Lexington Park.
The suspect followed the victim into the bedroom where he forced the victim to the floor on the stomach and jumped on the victim’s back. The victim was 7 months pregnant at the time of the assault. Deputy Flerlage observed fresh evidence of injury on the victim. Parran was located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Assault.
