St. Mary’s County sheriff Schultz responded to a residence on Midway Drive in Lexington Park on January 21 for a disturbance. On arrival, Deputy Schultz heard a victim yelling from nearby Wasp Drive and immediately responded to the area.
William Thomas Parks III, 27, of Lexington Park, was located and immediately placed under arrest; Deputy Schultz had prior knowledge of an outstanding warrant, (failure to pay a fine), for his arrest.
The investigation in to the disturbance revealed the victim who Deputy Schultz heard yelling had been assaulted by Parks during an argument. Parks allegedly pushed the victim onto a bed and a struggle ensued.
Deputy Schultz observed fresh evidence of injury on the victim. Parks was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
