Shortly after 11 a.m. Jan. 17, Stewart Coyles McArthur III, 46, of Mechanicsville was operating his 2005 Ford Ranger southbound on Mechanicsville Road north of Harrow Hills Courtwhen he drove off the southbound side of the roadway.
The vehicle continued southbound off road striking a wooden fence, tree, telephone pole and a mail box. The vehicle rolled over and McArthur was thrown from the vehicle and suffered life threatening injuries.
McArthur was flown to Baltimore Shock Trama where he died as a result of his injuries on Jan. 29.
The accident is being investigated by Senior Deputy First Class Emory Johnson of the St Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
