Man dragged victim by hair, held against will

Lexington Park, MD — A man has been arrested after the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Officers saw him drag a victim across the yard by the hair.

It happened back on August 11, when officers arrived to the 46700 block of Midway Drive in Lexington Park for a report of an assault. When they saw Antoine Ausby, 30, of Lexington Park, dragging someone by the hair across the yard of the residence, he was immediately placed into custody. But not without a fight.

While he was being taken to the police vehicle, he yelled at his victim and attempted to pull away from the officers. Officers say he continued to resist arrest and even tried to kick the police vehicle before he was placed inside.

When officers spoke with the victim, they learned Ausby had hit the victim in the face several times until witnesses intervened. The victim ran from Ausby and was able to locate keys and leave the residence.

Ausby followed the victim outside and continued to assault the victim until police arrived. .Ausby was charged with False Imprisonment, Resisting Arrest, and two counts of Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 45557-19
