At 11 p.m. Sept. 28, Trooper Brill stopped a vehicle for failing to drive in a single lane on Route 4 at S. Patuxent Beach Road, California.
Upon contact with the driver, Lawrence Jerome Somerville Jr., 46, of Clements, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected.
Somerville was subsequently arrested for DUI. A check through MVA indicated his license to drive was suspended and revoked.
A search of his person revealed a plastic bag containing cocaine and a piece of crack cocaine in his mouth.
Somerville was charged with DUI, possession of cocaine, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and driving while revoked. He was taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review.
