On Aug. 15, St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Office Deputies Shawn Moses and J. Kirkner responded to a Lexington Park residence for the reported domestic assault.
Upon arrival they located two victims and began to question them. It was determined that the suspect, Alex Vinser Saphrey-Bodden had assaulted both parties with his fist as well as threatened them with a knife.
Officers set a perimeter around the residence and the suspect surrendered. He was taken into custody by Deputy Moses and charged with two counts of first and second degree assault and one count of reckless endangerment.
He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and was awaiting a bond hearing.
