On Friday, Sept. 26 at approximately 4:30 pm, there was a report of a single vehicle accident in which the vehicle rolled over multiple times with entrapment. The initial call was for Anne Arundel County, but Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department (Calvert County) responded.
Dunkirk VFD Rescue handled extracting the driver who was trapped from the vehicle.
A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter was also on the scene for transport as the individual was reported to be in serious condition.
Traffic on Route 4 South and North was stopped and vehicle had to take a side road to get around the backup as result of the traffic accident.
