Strain

In the evening of May 16, St. Maryโ€™s Sheriff Patrol Officers responded to a possible burglary at a Lexington Park business.

Upon arrival Officers noted the front window had been smashed. St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office K-9 Yanic responded and entered the business.

Hiding inside was Ronald Strain, of no fixed address. He was arrested and charged with burglary.

Strain is out on bond in St. Maryโ€™s County for a string of burglaries he had been arrested for and is currently waiting trial on those charges.

Additional charges are pending a Stateโ€™s Attorney and Grand Jury review.

Strain was arrested in March along with Jonathan Marshall for allegedly committing a string of burglaries in the area.

Marshall was apprehended after a police responded to a burglary and a foot chase ensued.

Additional information led Detectives to a nearby apartment and Strain was taken into custody.

Several Search and Seizure Warrants were executed at the time and evidence collected and witness statements led to the arrest of both suspects on numerous charges.
