On May 2 at 2:12 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 3100 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf after a witness called to report a possible burglary in progress. The witness indicated they were inside the building and heard footsteps on the roof. When officers arrived, they found the suspect, Andrew Warwick, 22, of Pomfret, on the roof of the building. He was smoking a cigarette and talking on a cell phone. Warrick indicated he had just left a nearby bar and decided he would climb up to the roof of a building for fun. Along the climb, Warrick damaged a water drain. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary. PFC S. Cartwright made the arrest.
