On 1/7/13 at approximately 1736 hours, Tfc. A. Watson #5509 attempted to make a traffic stop on a 2002 blue Buick Lesabre displaying Maryland registration for a window tint violation.
After activating his emergency equipment, the suspect vehicle make a right hand turn onto Turkey Hill Road and began to flee from the Trooper. Shortly there after the suspect, later identified as Jerome Harry Hill, 41 years old of BUSHWOOD, MD, threw an unknown white substance out the window.
The suspect continued for approximately 4 miles coming to a stop in the area of Middletown Road and Smallwood Drive. The suspect surrendered with any further resistance.
Once Hill was placed under arrest for fleeing and eluding, Tfc. Watson observed in plain view on the driver’s seat a white substance he identified as suspected cocaine. Hill was placed under arrest and transported to the Barrack for processing.
Hill was charged with several traffic citations including fleeing and eluding, failure to drive right of center and littering. Hill was also charged with possession of suspected cocaine. Hill was then transported to the Charles County Detention Center to be seen by the District Court Commissioner.
