Dep. David Canning responded to a home on Steven Lane in Dunkirk on November 7 at 9:35 a.m. The homeowner advised that a suspicious car was parked in the driveway and the driver had knocked on her door but when she answered, he stated that he had the wrong address.
It was learned that the same vehicle had been suspiciously parked in the same neighborhood for the past two days.
After contacting the driver, later identified as Shawn D. Mills, 34, of Oxon Hill, he could not explain why he was parked in the driveway. A check of his person and vehicle revealed tools commonly used for burglary. Mills was arrested and charged with fourth degree burglary.
