ย At 3:30 a.m. Jan. 1, Senior Deputy First Class Margaret Smolarsky responded to the OCI Pub in Piney Point for the report of a stabbing.
ย Investigation revealed the victim, John Robert Lee, 47, of Lexington Park, and suspect, Arthur Jerome Robinson, 60, of Piney Point, were involved in a fight inside the pub.
ย During the fight, Robinson reportedly the victim in the side, police say, and aย patron inside the pub broke up the fight and took the knife from the suspect, who fled the area.
ย He was located a short time later, at his home in Piney Point and placed under arrest.
ย He was transported to the Detention Center and charged with First Degree Assault.
ย The victim was flown by helicopter to Washington Hospital Center for treatment. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
ย According to a witness at the scene, John Lee had to hold his attacker down after being stabbed until someone else could pry the knife out of his hand. There was no security at the bar.
