
La Plata Md. – According to news sources from Charles County Volunteer Fire & EMS, a 57-year-old man was trampled and bitten by a camel at the Charles County Fairgrounds on Friday.
The man, who works for the Lewis and Clark Circus, suffered severe head injuries and was medevaced to the hospital, according to police.
Officials say the man had injuries to his leg and severe head bleeding, but his injuries are non-life-threatening.
Performances at the Charles County Fairgrounds had been canceled due to a county permitting issue, according to the Lewis and Clark Circus.
