On Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 6:37 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik initiated a traffic stop on a gold SUV on Route 235 at Clover Hill Road.
Tpr. Krenik made contact with the driver, David Richard Speakman, 21, of Leonardtown, a female passenger and two young children. Mr. Speakman advised there was marijuana in the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted.
The search resulted in the recovery of marijuana, paraphernalia and Alprazolam. Mr. Speakman was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
