On September 18, 2015, Deputy M. Pleisse responded to the 25000 block of Phillip Thomas Lane in Mechanicsville, for a report of a subject in a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the roadway.
Deputy Pleisse made contact with the suspect, Thaddeus X. Crawley Geneus, age 20, of Mechanicsville, who appeared to be sleeping in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running and keys in the ignition.
Geneus eventually woke, and a field sobriety test was performed. During a search of his vehicle, the deputy recovered parapherphernalia consistent with marijuana use. Geneus was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. During a search at the detention center, correctional officers located marijuana in the suspect’s socks.
He was charged with Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia: Marijuana, Possession of a Control Dangerous Substance while in a place of Confinement.
