On July 7, 2015, Deputy Tirpak responded to Essex Drive in Lexington Park, for a reported disturbance.
The victim alleged suspect James Patrick Cusick, JR., age 38, of Lexington Park, struck the victim in the head with a star shaped lamp.
One of the points of the star punctured the victim’s head causing a substantial injury.
When a female neighbor intervened, Cusick threw a metal chair, striking the neighbor in the leg.
Cusick was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 1st Degree Assault and 2 COUNTS of 2nd Degree Assault.
