Scotland, MD – On Nov. 28th, 2015, Deputy J. Bittner responded to a call for a suspicious incident involving a man with a gun in the 14000 block of Eisenhower Way.
While at a bonfire, several witnesses observed the suspect, Daniel Dennis Gallahan, age 58, of Scotland, threatening several victims with a gun. One of the victims attempted to take the gun from him and while attempting to do so Gallahan fired two rounds into the ground.
Gallahan was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, Three Counts of Reckless Endangerment, Handgun on Person and Firearm Use During Commission of Violent Crime.
