
Scott Keith Gibson
Charlotte Hall, MD— April 10, Maryland State Police Trooper Brandy Ditoto was on patrol in her marked vehicle. Ditoto responded to an assault in the area of Leonardtown Road and Mt. Wolf Road in Charlotte Hall.ย
The investigation revealed that Scott Keith Gibson, 35, of Mechanicsville got out his vehicle at the intersection and approached the driver side of another vehicle in an apparent road rage incident.
According to charging documents, “Gibson was seen yelling, waving a silver knife with white tape around the handle with a blade approximately four inches long.” Gibson was threatening the driver of the other vehicle, screaming at the driver “you want some of this.”
The driver of the other car involved in this incident stated that “Gibsonย had the knife in his right hand and slammed his left fist into the passenger side window,” according to charging documents.ย
Gibson was located on Indian Creek Drive and placed under arrest for first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
Gibson was transported to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center. According to court documents, Gibson has since been released on bail.
Gibson faces a maximum jail sentence of 35 years and or a maximum fine of $2,500.ย
