Ryan Gregory Hollebon

Crofton, MD – A suspect in a homicide that occurred Sunday evening, March 5 in Anne Arundel County is behind bars. The Anne Arundel County Police Department reported the suspect—identified as Ryan Gregory Hollebon, 38 of Crofton—was apprehended in Baltimore City late Monday evening.

Hollebon is a suspect in the death of Jhalandia Elaine Butler, 28 whose body was discovered by police at a residence of Carry Place in Waldorf. The police who discovered the body were responding to a reported domestic violence incident. An extensive manhunt in the area after the homicide occurred—involving K-9 units, patrol units and an air search—was unsuccessful.

The Maryland Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy on Butler’s body to determine the exact cause of death. Hollebon has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and deadly weapon with intent to injure.
