At 1:01 a.m. Sept. 20, Trooper Stern stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 260 in Owings.
The operator, Frank Roy Boling, 48, of Chesapeake Beach, was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were found on his person.

Boling was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโ€™s hearing.

Sheriffโ€™s Office Deputy David Cowan arrested Vanessa Marie Long, 21 of Mechanicsville, for an open warrant related to a Violation of Probation.

A search incident to the arrest revealed Long was in possession of marijuana. She was charged with the additional violation of a Controlled Dangerous Substance law.

At 10:42 p.m. Sept. 8, Dfc. McCarroll conducted a traffic stop on a Ford truck displaying suspended tags on Rt. 2/4 at Skinners Turn Road.

A computer check advised that the driver, Rodney V. Johnson, 37, of Lusby, was driving on a revoked license.

A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana.

Johnson was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

At 12:35 a.m. Sept. 10, a juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana on a youth report and released to his mother by Cpl. Roscoe Jones.

Jones and Dfc. David Denton had been dispatched to the Safeway parking lot in Dunkirk in response to a call for disorderly juveniles.

At 1:34 a.m. Sept. 11, TFC Stein stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 4 in Dunkirk.

The operator, Samantha Ryan Kidwell, 19, of St. Leonard, was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana was recovered. Kidwell was then charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโ€™s hearing.

At 2:18 a.m. Sept. 3, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 261 in North Beach.

The operator, Jeffrey Alan York, Jr., 22, of Chesapeake Beach, was subsequently arrested for DUI.

A search of his person produced a baggie of suspected marijuana. He was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโ€™s hearing.
