Arrests:
On 12/2/2021, Tpr M. Koontz conducted a traffic stop in the area of 21600 Great Mills Road, Lexington Park, MD. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 17 year old male of Great Mills, MD. The juvenile fled on foot but was apprehended after a brief pursuit. Once the subject was in custody, CDS, Marijuana less than 10 Grams, was located on his person. Investigation also revealed that the juvenile had an open body attachment. While troopers attempted to secure the juvenile in a MSP vehicle, the juvenile spit on Tpr Koontz’s face. Then, while placing the juvenile in the backseat of a St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, Tpr K. Poland was also spit on. The subject was transported to Cheltenham Youth Detention Center and was charged with two counts of Second Degree Assault, Obstructing and Hindering a Police Officer, Attempt by Driver to Elude Uniformed Police by Fleeing on Foot, and Providing a False Name. The subject was also issued a juvenile civil citation for Possession of CDS: Marijuana Less Than 10 Grams.
On 12/7/2021, Tpr J. Engleman responded to a residence on Mechanicsville Road, Mechanicsville, MD for the report of someone trespassing. Investigation revealed that Melissa Irine Richards, 30 of Mechanicsville, MD was previously evicted from the residence, entered the property which had a posted“No Trespassing” sign and entered the residence through an unlocked window. Richards was found hiding in the residence, she was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with Trespassing on Posted Property and Burglary: 4th Degree – Dwelling.
On 12/8/2021, Tpr J. Engleman conducted a traffic stop on Three Notch Road at Hollywood Road, Hollywood, MD. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed a loaded handgun. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jathaniel Doniel Whitaker, 20 of Lexington Park, MD. Whitaker was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of a Regulated Firearm Being Under 21, Handgun: Wear/Carry and Transport in Vehicle on Public Roads, and Loaded Handgun in Vehicle.
On 12/11/2021, Tpr K. Poland responded to a residence on Coosan Court, Great Mills, MD for the report of an assault. While on scene, investigating the original assault, another assault occurred. Marquisa Domonique Thomas, 23 of Great Mills, MD assaulted the victim in front of Tpr Poland. Thomas was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with Second Degree Assault.
On 12/12/2021, Tpr J. Pope responded to a residence on Waterview Drive, Saint Inigoes, MD for the report of an assault. Investigation revealed that Elizaveta Nicole Hinton, 20 of Germantown, MD caused a disturbance, entered a residence without permission and assaulted an individual. While Troopers were on scene, Hinton continued to yell and cause a disturbance after being told to stop. Hinton was charged with Burglary-Fourth Degree-Dwelling, Second Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Intoxicated Public Disturbance, Trespass:
Private Property, and Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order.

• On 12/9/2021, Lee Kitwell Clark, 35 of Mechanicsville, MD was arrested by TFC E. Ruggles for FTA: Driving while license was suspended
