Crownsville, MD — MD 450 (Defense Highway) between The Ridges Gateway and Crownsville Road/South Haven Road in Crownsville will be closed this weekend as work continues on a project to replace several drainage culverts.
The new, larger culverts will allow for better drainage flow under the highway. Once the culverts have been replaced, the highway will be immediately paved and striped.
This road will be closed Friday, August 10 at 11:45 p.m. until Monday, August 12 at 5 a.m.
During the closure of MD 450, motorists will be detoured to US 50/US 301 (John Hanson Highway) and MD 424 (Davidsonville Road.)
