With the recent scenes of violence and protests in Ferguson, MO fresh in the minds of many, community groups are asking could such an occurrence happen in St. Maryโ€™s County?

As a way of improving communication between law enforcement and the St. Maryโ€™s County community a Town Hall meeting will take place at on Thursday, September 25 at the Dominion Apostolic Ministries, 21600 Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The Town Hall begins at 7:00 p.m. and will run until 9:00 p.m.

The goal of the meeting is to discuss policing and the community with the hope of fostering a conversation about ways to improve communication between law enforcement agencies and St. Maryโ€™s County residents.

The meeting will be hosted by the Human Relations Commission, Community Leaders, NAACP, and area pastors. The event will be streamed live at dominionapostolic.com and basketball4lyfe.com.
