Veteran’s Day is celebrated on November 11, but at Historic St. Mary’s City (HSMC), recognition of veterans will last all month long. Those who have served our country are invited to visit HSMC free and accompanying family members receive $1 off admission. Active and retired military are invited to show a valid I.D. on admission and enjoy a visit on us.
Historic St. Mary’s City is a museum of living history and archaeology on the site of Maryland’s first colonial capital. Visitors can climb onboard a tall ship, help run a colonial printing press, explore a Yaocomaco witchott, and help in the Plantation’s kitchen garden. At the St. John’s Site Museum, discover how archaeologists and historians know what they know. The museum is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
