Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 8:25 am, TFC Couter initiated a traffic stop on a gold passenger car on Hermanville Road at Dixon Court for a minor traffic violation.
TFC Couter made contact with the driver, Michael Anthony Aikens, 23, of Leonardtown, and detected the strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. TFC Couter observed marijuana in plain view in the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted.
The probable cause search resulted in the recovery of five individually wrapped baggies of cocaine as well as paraphernalia commonly used in the distribution of CDS.
Mr. Aikens was placed under arrest and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS: Not Mariuana, and CDS Possession of Paraphernalia.
He was also charged with CDS Marijuana Less than 10 Grams on a civil citation. Mr. Aikens was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
