At 5:57 pm rescue crews responded to Three Notch Road by Zion United Methodist Church for a personal injury accident.
A Mazda pickup truck was heading Northbound on Three Notch Road when he attempted to make a left hand turn into Zion Methodist Church, failing to yield the right of way to a Ford F250 pickup truck that was headed southbound on Three Notch Road.
The Mazda struck a utility pole in the collision. The Ford 250 went up the embankment to the church parking lot. The driver of the Mazda was transported to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital.
The passenger of the Ford F250 was also transported to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries to his knee and leg and refused transport.
