GLEN BURNIE, MD (June 21, 2017) The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) will close all offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) stations on Saturday, June 24, for statewide computer upgrades.ย  These computer upgrades will continue through Sunday, July 25, though MVA Offices are closed on Sundays.

Customers will not be able to conduct web or self-service kiosk transactions this Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.ย  MDOT MVAโ€™s ten self-service VEIP kiosks will remain open.

The temporary shutdown and upgrades are necessary to provide MDOT MVAโ€™s IT team the opportunity to integrate new IT data based on legislation that goes into effect on July 1.ย  The MVA appreciates customersโ€™ patience during this computer upgrade as we work to provide better service to Maryland residents.ย  For additional information, please visit our website, mva.maryland.gov or call MDOT MVAโ€™s Customer Service Center at 1-800-950-1MVA (1682).
