UPDATE: Motor Vehicle Accident involving bicyclist reported WITH PHOTOS

LEONARDTOWN, MD — At 5:43, it was determined that the bicyclist received substantial enough injuries that require attention at a trauma center and a helicopter has been dispatched.  Updates will be posted as reported. use caution if in the area. 

At 5:23 p.m., it was reported the bicyclist was being evaluated for a possible fly-out via helicopter. The bicyclist is able to walk and talk. Traffic is moving slowly. Updates will be posted as they are reported, use caution if in the area.  

On June 30 at 4:59 p.m., a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist has been reported on Route 5 and Chingville Road. Use caution if in the area, and expect traffic delays.
