ARRESTS:

On 10/13/2021, Tfc E. Ruggles conducted a traffic stop in the area of Three Notch Road and Lei Drive, Lexington Park, MD.  Upon making contact with the driver and passenger, identified as Rebecca Ann Howard, 48 of Lexington Park, MD and Charles Rodney Lawson, 54 of Silver Spring, MD, a prescription bottle was observed in plain view.  Investigation revealed the bottle contained suspected Oxycodone and Xanax and neither had a valid prescription. Howard was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed Suboxone strips belonging to Lawson for which he did not have a prescription. Lawson was also placed under arrest.  Both were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.

On 10/14/2021, Tfc E. Ruggles responded to Alton Lane, California, MD for a reported Assault.  Upon arrival and making contact with the victims, investigation revealed the suspect identified as Michael Anthony Deep, 28 of Lusby, MD did physically assault the female victim and then pointed a handgun at two witnesses who attempted to intervene. Deep fled the area but was located nearby and placed under arrest.  The weapon used in the crime was also recovered and determined to be a .357 Revolver replica BB gun. Deep was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Assault First Degree; Assault Second Degree; and Disorderly Conduct.

On 10/18/2021, Tfc E. Ruggles conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hollywood Road and Moran Road, Hollywood, MD.  Due to criminal indicators being present, a K9 scan of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.  The rear passenger, identified as Gina Ann Marchek, 43 of Lusby, MD had an active open arrest warrant through MSP Leonardtown for FTA-CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana. Marchek was placed under arrest. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed drug paraphernalia and suspected cocaine.  Marchek was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention center and charged with CDS:Possession- Not Marijuana; and CDS: Possession Paraphernalia.

On 10/19/2021, Tpr J. Barlow responded to the area of 21000 block of Three Notch Road for a reported intoxicated and disorderly subject.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect Aja Keyana Sewell, 30 of Lexington Park, MD who was acting disorderly.  Investigation revealed that Sewell had an active arrest warrant through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and served with the warrant.

On 10/20/2021, Tpr D. Black responded to Walmart at 45485 Miramar Way, California, MD for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with Denise Yvette Buck, 66 of Lusby, MD. Buck stole merchandise from Walmart with a value greater than $100.00. Buck was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with Theft: $100 to less than $1,500 value – Shoplifting.

On 10/20/2021, Tfc E. Ruggles responded to ABC Liquors at 22741 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD for a reported trespassing and disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with James Dale Posey, 33 of Newburg, MD. Upon investigation, it was determined that Posey had been told to leave the establishment by staff and he did not comply. Posey was issued a Criminal Citation for Trespass: Private Property and released from the scene.

On 10/24/2021, Tpr J. Pope conducted a traffic stop at MD Rt 235 and Pegg Rd. While confirming the driver’s identity, the driver fled from the vehicle on foot and he was apprehended. The suspect was later identified as James William Blackiston, 28 of Lexington Park, MD. It was determined that Blackiston initially provided a false name. Blackiston was wanted through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for Possession With Intent to Distribute narcotics. Blackiston was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order, CDS: Possession Paraphernalia, CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, Obstructing and Hindering a Police Officer and Fraud-Person’s Identity to Avoid Prosecution.

On 10/24/2021, Tpr. C. Riggs responded to Hollywood Road, Hollywood, MD for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with two (2) adult victims who both had signs of injuries and stated that the suspect had fled the scene. The suspect’s description and direction of travel were obtained and additional officers responded to the area. Tpr M. Koontz made contact with the suspect, Phillip Randolph Adams, 42 of Mechanicville, MD and attempted to take him into custody. Adams resisted and punched Tpr M. Koontz in the face.  Adams was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with three (3) counts of 2nd Degree Assault, two (2) counts of Malicious Destruction of Property, and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.
