Sponsored by the Alzheimerโ€™s Association, Civista Health, and the College of Southern Maryland
The Alzheimerโ€™s Associationยฎ is holding input sessions across the country and locally across the Southern Maryland area to gather ideas about what should be included in a coordinated national plan to better address the Alzheimer epidemic.
The Alzheimerโ€™s Associationยฎ needs to hear from individuals living with dementia, caregivers and friends, researchers, providers and other stakeholders.ย  Your ideas, concerns, and hopes will be included in a report and recommendations to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius as she leads federal implementation of the National Alzheimerโ€™s Project Act (NAPA), which was passed unanimously by Congress in December and signed into law by the President in January.
Make your voice heard in two ways:
1.ย Join the National Capital Area Chapter at the Southern Maryland regional listening session on Tuesday, August 16.ย  Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and the session is from 8 a.m. โ€“ 9:30 a.m. at the College of Southern Maryland BI-113 (8730 Mitchell Road in La Plata).ย  Session moderator: Susan Kudla Finn, President and CEO, Alzheimerโ€™s Associationยฎ National Capital Area Chapter; Invited Guest:ย  U.S. Representative Steny Hoyer
2.ย Share your feedback online.ย
Now is the time to help determine what will be in the National Alzheimerโ€™s Plan. Make sure your voice is heard! Together, we can make a difference to end Alzheimerโ€™s.
