On Tuesday, April 9, the County Commissioners presented Ms. Emily Ferren, director of the Charles County Public Library, with proclamation #2013-16, designating the week of April 14-20, 2013, as National Library Week in Charles County. This year’s library week theme, “Communities Matter at Your Library,” declares that public libraries have a unique role in people’s lives. Whether visiting for homework or job searches, help with finances, programs, or to find the best books, libraries are a great place to spend quality time and connect with friends.
