Want a loyal companion? Come to the Tri County Animal Shelter on Wednesday August 26, from Noon to 5 p.m., to adopt a dog. Adoption fees for dogs will be waived on this special day. Can’t adopt a dog? Then celebrate by volunteering at the shelter, donating dog food or toys to the shelter, or bring a special treat for the animals at the shelter.
The Tri-County Animal Shelter is located at 6707 Animal Shelter Road in Hughesville. Shelter staff can be reached at 301-932-1713 or 800-903-1992. Adoption hours are Monday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
