At 10:16 am, on Saturday, March 31, TFC Linger was patrolling Great Mills Road in Lexington Park when he observed two males in a parking lot across from Canopy Liquors.
As TFC Linger approached Darryll Boyd, 20, of Lexington Park, he began to run and a short foot chase ensued.
Mr. Boyd was apprehended and he was founded to be in possession of a small plastic bag of marijuana and $687.00 in currency.
Mr. Boyd was arrested for possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and false statement to a police officer and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
