On Aug. 31 at 4:45 a.m., officers responded to the Bryans Road Shopping Center at 3065 Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road for the report of an attempt robbery and assault.
Investigation revealed the victim – a newspaper delivery man – was sitting in his car when the suspects approached, threw a brick through the front passenger window, sprayed him with pepper spray and began hitting him with a stick. Nothing was stolen but the victim believed the suspects were trying to rob him.
The suspects were wearing dark-colored ski masks and dark clothing. They may have been driving a small, light-colored SUV.
