Update– 8:55 a.m.ย

Waldorf, MD โ€“ Police in Charles County are investigating a second shooting death in six days. The latest incident occurred at a Waldorf residence early Tuesday morning, Jan. 12.

According to Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson, “officers arrived on the scene for an unknown trouble. The suspects in this shooting were able to gain entrance to the house, not by force. There were four subjects within the house where the shooting occurred.

“One of the victims was shot and killed by the suspects due to a conversation that turned into an argument. Another male who was within the house was assaulted not by the handgun. There were two other women inside the house. One woman lived at the residence and the other was visiting for the first time.

“The woman who lived at the home was not harmed and stayed within the house. The other woman who was visiting fled the house and had not been located at this time. We believe that this house was a target, and we believe that the victims within the residence were also targeted by the suspects at large.”
