The Charles County Sheriff’s Office conducted a warrant sweep between 5 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. March 17 in the La Plata and Indian Head districts.
Nine people were arrested and 14 warrants for charges including theft and drug violations were served.
Several of the wanted persons attempted to flee but officers quickly apprehended them without further incident.
The Warrant/Fugitive, Child Support and Domestic Violence units and the Tactical Response Squad participated in the operation.
