At 9:30 a.m. May 20, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown trooper barrack stopped a vehicle for not having a front bumper and for not displaying a front tag, on Route 246 at Route 5 in Lexington Park.
Upon contact with the driver, Angela Marie Covington, 25 of Park Hall, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. A probable cause search revealed a burnt “roach” on the passenger seat.
Covington was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Marijuana. She was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond hearing.
