At 9:25 pm on Saturday, January 20, TFC Quade was patrolling Rt. 235 in the California/Lexington Park area when he observed a silver 2004 Dodge Neon. The vehicle looked similar to one involved in a 911 broadcast involving subjects displaying a handgun at passing motorists.
A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle. Contact was made with the driver and passenger in the vehicle. Both individuals exited the vehicle and a pat down search was performed for officer safety.
An orange pill bottle containing marijuana was found on the passenger, a black male, 16 of Lusby.
He was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing where he was later released to his mother. Investigation continues.
